PANTHERS DOMINATE EAGLES IN SATURDAY MATCHUP

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Birmingham-Southern lacrosse team came out firing on all cylinders after an overtime win last night. BSC netted 16 goals in their third game in five days as they defeated Asbury 16-1.

The Panthers got up early and never looked back. Brooklyn Hilliard opened up the scoring just 19 seconds into the game. Kathleen Napier then netted the next three to give the Panthers and early 4-0 lead in the first quarter. BSC added on four more goals before the period ended and led at the end of the first quarter 8-1. 

The Panthers kept the momentum going as they scored four times in the second quarter to take a commanding 12-1 lead into halftime. Grace Lee Paden did not allow a goal the rest of the game. The Panthers added four goals total in the second half without surrendering any to win the game 16-1. 

Kathleen Napier scored a team high seven goals, with three other student-athletes recording multi-goal games in the win.
