BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - After coming off two wins the Birmingham-Southern women's lacrosse team dropped its midweek game to The College of Wooster 23-9.
The Fighting Scots got on the board first and took an early 1-0 lead, but BSC responded shortly after to tie the game back up. The tie did not last long as Wooster scored just 40 seconds after BSC. Wooster then added seven more unanswered goals to take a 9-1 lead. Birmingham-Southern added on two more goals before the first quarter came to an end and gain some momentum going into the second period.
The second quarter saw BSC outscore the Fighting Scots 3-2 and trail 13-6 at halftime.
Out of halftime Wooster took control of the game as they outscored BSC 10-3 in the second half. Birmingham-Southern fell in the midweek matchup 23-9.
