MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Birmingham-Southern men's lacrosse team returned to the field after an off-week from game play. The Panthers took on the Bombers of Ithaca College. While the Panthers were on a five-game win streak, Ithaca ended that after beating BSC with a final score of 86-10.
Southern started off strong in the first quarter leading the game 3-2 with goals from
Raymond Fracchia, Cameron Herb, and
Austin Johnson. Ithaca answered back in the second quarter putting up seven goals. The Panthers went into halftime trailing 9-4. The Bombers came into the third quarter rolling scoring another seven points against the Panthers. BSC tried to make a comeback in the fourth quarter scoring five goals, but Ithaca took the game with a score of 18-10.
Luke Fajack picked up 16 saves on the inside for the Panthers.
Raymond Fracchia was the leading scorer for BSC picking up three goals.
Will Johns continues to lead the Panthers on the ground recording a total of five groundballs.
