NEW ORLEANS, La. - All-Region honorees for the 2022 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field season were announced on Tuesday (March 8) by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Six Birmingham-Southern track and field student-athletes were named to the USTFCCA All-Region team. The six athletes include
Ne'Andra Howard,
Jordan Jones,
Maurice Sutherland,
Monasia Taylor,
Reece Weaver, and
William Wideman.
Ne'andra Howard was named All-Region in the 4x400 meter relay.
Jordan Jones,
Reece Weaver and
William Wideman also earned all-region honors in the event.
Jones also collected honors in the men's triple jump and men's long jump. He recently competed at the Division III Indoor National Championships in triple jump where he placed fifth out of 20 participants, earning him All-American Honors in the event.
Rounding out the All-Region selections is
Monasia Taylor. Taylor was and All-Region performer in the 60 meter dash.
The top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-3 relay teams. The regions used for this award – East, Great Lakes, Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Midwest, Niagara, North, South, and West – match those used during the cross country season. To see the full list of
