MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Birmingham-Southern men's golf team opened up the week with a 16th place finish at the Wynlakes Intercollegiate hosted by Huntingdon in Montgomery, Ala.
In round one of the Intercollegiate BSC had four of their five student-athletes shoot an 85 or better.
Slade Dawson shot a team-low 77 (+5).
Sammy Brucker shot an 82 (+10),
John Daniels followed closely behind with an 83 (+11), and
Will Middleton finished with an 84 (+12). The Panthers collectively shot a 326 in the first round and finished 17th after the first round.
On day two of the tournament BSC shot 23 strokes lower shooting a 303.
Sammy Brucker led the way shooting a 69 (-3) on day two and shoot a team low 151 (+7) for the tournament. The Panthers moved up one position in the standings after round two to finish 16th.
