BSC FINISHES INDOOR SEASON STRONG

WINCHESTER, Va. - The Birmingham-Southern men's and women's track and field team traveled to Shenandoah University for their last chance meet to qualify for the Indoor National Championships. Only a select few athletes traveled, but they showed well. 

Track
Kamryn Bendolph won the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:02.93.  Jailah Loving and Monasia Taylor finished third and fourth overall in the Women's 60 meter dash. Loving then finished third overall in the 200 meter and while Taylor finished sixth. 

On the men's side Reece Weaver recorded a personal record in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.19 seconds. Weaver then went on to win the 400 meter dash with a time of 50.75. 
Field
The Panthers had two athletes PR in the shot put. Tre Butler threw 9.37 meters and Jacob Kennedy threw 12.36 meters. Jordan Jones placed won the mens triple jump with a PR and new school record of 14.63 meters. He also won the men's long jump with a jump of 6.88 meters. 

The Panthers showed well placing highly in many events.

Up next
Jordan Jones qualified for the Indoor Championships and will compete ad the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C. next week. The other athletes will travel to Jacksonville State University to start their outdoor season.
