CONWAY, Ark. - The Birmingham-Southern women's lacrosse team wrapped up the regular season in dominate fashion, defeating conference opponent Hendrix 22-4. The Panthers had eight different goal scorers in the game.
Hendrix got on the board first, 20 seconds into the game. But from that point forward it was all Birmingham-Southern. The Panthers went on to score 11-unanswered goals, nine of them coming before the conclusion of the first quarter.
Margot Peters and
Marissa Henderson each recorded two goals in the period helping the Panthers outscore the Warriors 9-1.
BSC kept the momentum into the second quarter outscoring Hendrix 5-2.
Margot Peters and
Kathleen Napier each finished off their hat tricks in the quarters and helped the Panthers to a 14-3 halftime lead.
Out of halftime BSC continued to pour on the scoring. The Panthers scored four goals in the third to extend their lead to 18-3. The Birmingham-Southern defense held strong in the fourth quarter allowing just one goal. Birmingham-Southern scored four more goals and won the game 22-4.
