11 STUDENT-ATHLETES EARN ALL-SAA RECOGNITION

ATLANTA, Ga. - Between the men's and women's track and field teams 11 student-athletes placed third or better at the Conference Championships earning them All-SAA honors. Both team's placed fourth at the Championships. 

Kamryn Bendolph received first team honors after winning the women's 400-meter with a time of 58.06. This is the third consecutive year that Bendolph has won the the 400-meter dash at the SAA Championships. Bendolph also helped the Panthers place second in the 4x400 relay and third in the 4x100 relay. 

Orion Brogdon placed third in the men's javelin throw. On his last attempt Brogdon recorded a throw length of 52.26 meters to place third in the event. 

Jordan Jones placed first in the men's long jump garnering him first team all-conference honors. Jones jumped a length of 7.00 meters winning the event by .07 meters. Jones also placed second in the men's triple jump, finishing behind teammate Maurice Sutherland. Jordan also helped the Panthers place second in the 4x100 relay.

Jailah Loving was named first team as a freshmen after winning the 100-meter hurdles. Loving won the event with a time of 14.74. Loving also helped the Panthers place second in the 4x400 relay and third in the 4x100 relay. 

Jannah Moede was apart of the the 4x400 relay team that placed second with a time of 4:10.50. Moede also placed fourth in the 100-meter and 200-meter dash during the SAA Championships. 

Griffin Riner earned his first all-conference award being apart of the 4x400 relay team that finished second in the event. The team finished with a time of 3:21.63. Riner also placed fifth in the 800-meter run during th SAA Championships. 

Maurice Sutherland earned first team honors after winning the triple jump. Sutherland recorded a jump of 14.64 meters to take first place. Sutherland also finished fifth in the men's long jump.

Senior, Monasia Taylor earned first team honors for the fourth consecutive year, as she will graduate being a four-peat champion in the 100-meter dash. Taylor also helped the Panthers place second in the 4x400 relay and third in the 4x100 relay. 

Paige Washington collected honorable mention honors as she was apart of the the 4x100 relay team that placed third with a time of 48.81. 

Reece Weaver earned second team all-conference honors being apart of the 4x400 relay team that finished second in the event. Weaver also finished fourth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.32, he was .02 seconds out of third place. He then finished in third in the 400-meter. 

Rounding out the all-conference selections is William Wideman. Wideman was awarded second-team honors after finishing second in the 400-meter hurdles and in the 4x400 relay. 

To be placed on an all-conference team the student-athlete must place in first, second, or third place in the event. First place earns the student-athlete first team, second place earnes second-team, and third palce earns honorable mention.
