BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Birmingham-Southern was able to get on the board first, but three unanswered goals by the Warriors of Webber International proved to be too much as the Panthers fell 4-2.

Just nine minutes into the game the Panthers capitalized on their first scoring chance of the afternoon. Abby Walker was fouled inside the penalty box while charging towards the goal, and was awarded a penalty kick. Walker converted on her chance and gave the Panthers a 1-0 lead early in the game. 

Webber International possessed the ball for the majority of the half, and had a few chances to score but, Mary Claire Henry recorded five saves in the half to keep the Warriors off the scoreboard. The Panthers would head into halftime with a 1-0 lead. 

The Warriors were the first on the board in the second half scoring just three minutes into the half. With the game tied the Warriors kept applying pressure scoring two more goals over the next 10 minutes. With the Warriors leading 3-1, the Panthers turned up the pressure and were able to convert some defense into offense. 

In the 64th minute Sophie Smith finished a ball to the bottom left side of the net. The Smith goal cut the Warrior lead to 3-2. Just five minutes after the Panther goal the Warriors iced the game with another goal, and won the game 4-2.

The game did not effect the records of the two teams as it was an exhibition game.
