LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. - The Birmingham-Southern women's soccer team took to the road as they traveled to Covenant College for their first road test of the season. Both teams played evenly through 78 minutes but, BSC surrendered a late goal as they fell 1-0.
The Panthers were able to string together a few scoring chances early in the game as Bailey Dupré and
Abby Walker each recorded a shot on goal but could not beat the Scot's keeper.
Angie Piccini also had a scoring chance but could not find the back of the net. The Panthers were out shot 5-4 but
Grace Elsevier made sure to keep a clean shot and the Panthers would go into halftime tied 0-0.
Out of halftime it was all Covenant as they recorded 12 shots, eight of which were on goal. Elsevier kept the Panthers in the game saving the first seven shots on net. In the 78th minute the Scots would break through and get on the board to take a late 1-0 lead.
BSC was unable to muster up any offense and could not find a tying goal and BSC fell 1-0 on the road.
