MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Birmingham-Southern men's basketball team dropped a narrow 82-74 decision to Rhodes on Friday night. The Panthers held the lead through the first half of the contest, however, the Lynx used a 14-3 run down the stretch to take the led for good.
Two Panther players scored in double-figures in the conference contest, as
Josh Childers paced the team with 12 points on 85.7 percent shooting (6-of-7). The senior forward added three rebounds and an assist before fouling out of the contest.
Bryson Bishop put together his fifth consecutive double-figure scoring performance of the season on 10 points, including two 3-pointers and a couple of assists.
Rhodes was led by Koki Wiley, who scored 19 points in the game in addition to recording eight rebounds, three blocks, and five steals. Phil Dotson recorded 18 points, with one board and one steal, while Jefferson Walker rounded out the Lynx scoring in double-figures with 11.
