CONWAY, Ark. - Coming off a loss Friday night in Memphis, the Panthers returned to their winning ways collecting a 92-80 victory over Hendrix on Sunday. Since 2012 the Panthers are 19-7 against the Warriors.
The Panthers were led by five players who scored in double figures with
Kaleb Green leading the way for BSC. The Panthers took a 12-point lead to halftime and kept it throughout the second half. The second half saw 102 total points scored between the two teams while BSC held on to their 12-point lead and secured the victory.
Birmingham-Southern had five player in double digits as
Kaleb Green paced the Panthers with 14 points, four boards, two assists and a steal.
Nolan Dean scored 13 points in the game, while big-men
Josh Childers and
Brody Davis each recorded 11-point outings and combined for 14 rebounds. Jay Gillispe rounded out the double digit scorers with 10 points and seven rebounds.
Hendrix was led by a 20-point, four-rebound performance by Tyler Deithloff. Caleb Squires recorded 19 points, one rebound and one assist, while Colten Berry had 18 points, four rebounds and four blocks in the loss.
