BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Birmingham-Southern track and field got 2023 started competing in the Emory CrossPlex Showdown.
Jailah Loving posted three PR's in the meet.
The Panthers tallied tow top-10 finishes, which included one second place finish and a victory in one event. Loving placed second in the 60-meter hurdles and won the 60-meter dash while also
earning a personal records in both events and the 200 meter dash.
Panthers Placing in Events
- Jailah Loving placed second in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.28 and won the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.91. Loving finished her incredible day off with a sixth place finish in the 200-meter dash.
- Sydney Smith and Trinity Jones finished in the top 20 of the 400-meter, placing 15th and 18th respectively. Also placing in the event was Amelia Dowling finishing in 21st.
- Gabe Earhart ran in the mile and placed 22nd with a time of 6:27.56.
