BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Birmingham-Southern men's swim and dive team placed first in all but two events in their first meet back at the Birmingham CrossPlex in over two months. In the meet
Avery Balch broke the 3M diving record.
BSC started off strong finishing first in the men's first six events. The team of
Joe Swing,
Connor McClain,
Charlie Fountain, and
Adam Jones won the 200 yard medley relay. Following that was
Noah Daniels who won the 1000 yard free with a time of 11:11.41. Daniels beat the second place opponent by five seconds.
Jalen McDade then won the 200 yard free.
AJ Schwabe joined the first place finishers with a time of 55.23 in the 100 yard backstroke.
Noah Prevost then won the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:03.67.
Aden Kraft kept it going winning the 200 yard fly.
The first event the Panthers did not finish first in was the 50 yard free.
Connor McClain came up just short finishing in second place.
The meet then moved to the diving events where The Panthers placed in all five positions during the 1 meter event with
Justin Toth taking the top spot.
Avery Balch would claim top spot in the 3 meter event and breaking the school record as well.
BSC placed first five more times over the remainder of the event and would beat both UT Southern and Millsaps in the dual meet.

The Panthers will return to the pool tomorrow as they host Millsaps and Montevallo tomorrow. The meet is scheduled to start at 11 a.m.
