PANTHERS HANG ON DOWN THE STRETCH

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - A second half that saw the Panthers outscore Centre by 12 and hang on to the lead in the final two minutes was enough to get the Panthers their 11th victory of the season.

After trailing by seven at halftime, BSC came out and held Centre to just 35.9-percent shooting in the second half, a key part in propelling their comeback. BSC was able to gain the lead with just under 10 minutes to play, going up 66-65. As the clock kept ticking down the emotions on both sides grew. As the game got into the final stretch three technical fouls were issued and many fouls were called. BSC was able to persevere through some adversity and claim victory over Centre 94-89.

Four Panthers scored in double figures in the victory with Jay Gillispie and Kaleb Green each scoring 18. Gillispie added 11 rebounds to record a double-double his fifth of the season. Martise Jackson and Josh Childers each scored 16 points in the win.

Centre had three scorers record 20-plus points in the loss. Carter Baughman recorded 25, Drew Wilson added 22, and Cade Stinnett notched 21.
