PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Birmingham-Southern men's swim and dive team won their dual meets against two Division II opponents in the 2023 Argo Winter Classic defeating them by a combined 205 points.
In the men's 100-yard butterfly event the Panthers took four of the top five spots with
Noah Prevost taking second in the event and Jalen MacDade taking second with a time of 53.16. Rounding out the top five for the Panthers was
Gabe Warner and
Noah Scoggins.
In the men's backstroke event
Noah Daniels and Chris Rubin took second and third place respectively. Following them was
Aden Kraft and Simmon Graham taking second and third in the second backstroke event.
BSC then swept through the men's 1000-yard freestyle placing first, second and third in the event.
Adam Jones,
Joe Swing, and
Quinn Moore each placed in that order.
The Panthers had four more first place finishes by the time the meet ended and defeated UT - Permian Basin and Montevallo.
