SEWANEE, Tenn. – The Birmingham-Southern men's swimming & diving team opened their season this past weekend. The swimmers competed against Sewanee in Centre at Sewanee with the divers competing in Moultrie, Georgia.
The swimmer's were headlined by freshman
Samuel Hardy who took home first place finishes in two events. In the 200 Yard Freestyle, Hardy topped all swimmers with a time of 1:48.86. He then finished first with a 5:03.80 in the 500 Yard Freestyle. Sophomore
Graham Simmon also earned a first place finish with a time of 2:03.69 in the 200 Yard IM.
Justin Toth led all divers in Moultrie, Ga. with a 3 meter dive score of 312.95. He went on to win SAA Men's Diver of the Week.
