MEN'S BASKETBALL EARNS ROAD WIN AT COVENANT

LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. - The Birmingham-Southern men's basketball team picked up a big road win at Covenant on Saturday to snap a three-game skid.

On Saturday, the men's basketball team traveled to Lookout Mountain, Georgia to face a Covenant team that shoots almost 32% from 3-point range. The game started off with a handful of lead changes with Covenant taking a six point lead, before a surge by the Panthers. An 11-0 run put Birmingham-Southern up five points. Transfer student Brandon Copeland came off the bench and provided four points during that 11-0 run. Despite only two 3-point shots made in the first half, BSC took a 40-39 lead into halftime. BSC was led by Brody Davis with 14 points and a 50% field goal percentage in the first half.

Birmingham-Southern would not give the lead up in the second half despite a really tight score. The lead would only grow to nine points with the Scots getting as close as one point multiple times.
