SCHULTZ & WILHELMI EARN MORE HONORS WITH ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT SELECTIONS

GREENWOOD, In. - The College Sports Communicators released the Volleyball Academic All-District Teams on Tuesday. Senior Ainsley Schultz and sophomore Kylie Wilhelmi earned the honor after their great seasons on the court and in the classroom. 

To be nominated for CSC Academic All-District, the student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA while playing 90% of the school's sets or starting in at least 66% of the school's matches. Schultz and Wilhelmi have also been selected as CSC Academic All-America finalists and advance to the national ballot. First, Second, and Third Team Academic-All America selections will be announced on Jan. 9, 2024.

Senior Ainsley Schultz was excellent for the Panthers as a setter. She appeared in 98 of 105 of the team's sets and was second in the SAA in assists per set with 8.94 She was the conference leader in service aces with 51 total. Because of her great play on the court, she earned All-SAA Second Team for the second straight year. She also has an impressive 3.917 GPA to earn her place on the Academic All-District Team.

Sophomore Kylie Wilhelmi solidified herself as one of the best outside hitters in the conference as the points leader with 314.5 for the Panthers in 2023. She appeared in all 105 sets and finished sixth in the conference in kills per set with 2.82. She also contributed with 142 digs and 27 blocks earning herself an All-SAA Second team selection. Kylie's standout 3.875 GPA helped earn her spot on the Academic All-District Team.
