ATLANTA - Three Birmingham-Southern swim and dive student-athletes earned qualifying scores at the NCAA Region 2 Diving Championships hosted by Emory University.
Avery Balch and
Justin Toth earned qualifying scores on the Men's 1-meter dive after placing second and third in the event at the NCAA Region 2 Diving Championships.
Justin Toth earned a score of 476.60 placing second, while
Avery Balch earned a score of 431.25 and placed third in the event on day one.
Garrett George fell just shy of a qualifying score with a score of 412.25.
On day two
Avery Balch and
Garrett George qualified for the Men's 3-meter event. Balch placed second with a score of 494.00 and George was able to get his qualifying score finishing fourth with a score of 450.15.
Justin Toth fell just shy of earning a qualifying score for the event placing seventh with a score of 418.40.

The three divers will go on to compete at the NCAA National Championships in Greensboro, N.C. from March 15-18.
