BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Birmingham-Southern baseball team ended the BSC Spring Classic with two more wins over two nationally recognized programs in Webster and Adrian. BSC is now on a seven game winning streak.
Game one
The Panthers jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first, after a scoreless second inning Webster tied the game at 3-3. The Panthers got one run back in the bottom of the third and scored two more in the bottom of the fourth to score enough to win. Webster pulled within one run in the fifth but would not score the remainder of the game as BSC won 6-5.
Joey White (3-0) earned the win on the bump for the Panthers. The sophomore pitched 5.2 innings allowing five hits, striking out six and allowing five runs.
Connor Adams picked up his first save of the season after throwing 3.1 scoreless innings allowing no hits and striking out one.
Jack Fleming led the way for the offense recording two hits on the afternoon.

Jakob Zito each recorded a hit with their lone hits being long balls. The duo combined to drive in four runs in the win.

Game two
An eighth inning comeback helped the Panthers earn another victory in the Spring Classic. After trailing for most the game BSC scored four runs in the bottom of the eighth to take the lead and hand on to win their seventh consecutive game.
Davis Williams started on the mound for the Panthers, but did not factor in a decision. The sophomore pitched 6.0 inning allowing four hits, three runs, and striking out 10 in his second career start.
The Panther bullpen would pitch three innings of two run baseball to hold the Adrian offense at bay and keep BSC in the game.
Hansen McCown (1-0) earned the win after going 2.2 inning while striking out three.
Connor Adams earned his second save of the season pitching the final out with the tying run on base.
A back-and-fourth game saw Adrian take a 4-2 lead in the top of the seventh inning. With all momentum squarely with Adrian the Panthers changed that in the bottom of the eighth.
Jack Fleming started the rally with a one-out double. the next five batters would reach base via a walk or hit by pitch.
Luke DePiero bounced into a fielders choice but still brought in the ultimate game-winning run.

The Panthers will have a quick turnaround as they travel to Lookout Mountain, Ga. tomorrow to take on Covenant College. First pitch is set for 2 p.m.
