BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - After a great first quarter, the Birmingham-Southern women's lacrosse team was defeated by conference rival Berry College on Friday.
How it happened
- BSC's Margot Peters started things off with one of her six goals on the night to take an early lead in just over two minutes of play.
- Berry tied the game 1-1, but BSC went on to win the opening quarter 3-2.
- The Vikings then had a strong second quarter scoring five unanswered goals and winning the period 6-1.
- Berry picked up where they left off in the third quarter by scoring three goals inside the first five minutes of the second half.
- The Panthers the cut into the lead with two goals but would head into the fourth quarter trailing 11-6.
- BSC scored first in the final period, but Berry then scored six unanswered goals to win the contest 17-7.
