GREENSBORO, N.C. - On the final day of the 2023 NCAA Swim & Dive National Championships, three Birmingham-Southern divers competed in the men's 3-meter diving event. Two of the three student-athletes walked away with All-American status in the event.
Avery Balch earned a chance to compete in the 3-meter Championship Final after finishing in fourth place in the prelims. Balch earned a score of 503.65. In the Championship round the sophomore scored 493.25 keeping him in fourth place and earning him First Team All-American Honors.
Justin Toth earned his second Second Team All-American status placing 10th in the Consolations finals. During prelims Toth finished ninth with a score of 457.50. In the consolation finals the freshman scored 467.00 to finish 10th and collect Second Team All-American Honors.
Garrett George scored 388.85 in prelims earning him 20th place on the national stage.
