BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Birmingham-Southern women's lacrosse team dominated for sixty minutes en route to a 21-1 win over Huntingdon College on Thursday.
How it happened
- BSC's Margot Peters opened the game with a hat-trick in just over six minutes to get the goal-scoring started.
- The Panthers went on to score four more in the first period to take a 7-1 lead.
- BSC did not look back as they controlled the second quarter outscoring Huntingdon 8-0.
- The Panthers went into halftime with a 15-1 lead capped off by Marissa Henderson with one of her seven goals in the game late in the half.
- The third quarter saw more goals and strong defense from BSC as the third period was won 5-0 and gave the Panthers a huge 20-1 lead.
- BSC's defense dominated once again allowing no goals in the final period of the game.
- The lone goal in the fourth quarter scored by Madison Taylor put a stamp on a big win by the Panthers over Huntingdon 21-1.
