LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Birmingham-Southern men's lacrosse team dropped their second game of the season to non-conference opponent Transylvania University on Saturday, Mar. 4. The Panthers scored a season-low eight goals in the game dropping the contest 10-8.
How it happened
- Transy opened up the game scoring four unanswered goals to take a 4-0 lead in the first five minutes of play.
- BSC responded with three goals of their own as they cut the lead to 4-3.The third goals from Carson Kinnett came at the start of the second quarter.
- BSC and Transylvania would trade goals for the remainder of the second quarter with each team scoring two more goals. The Panthers would head to halftime trailing 6-5.
- The Pioneers took advantage of two Birmingham-Souther penalties and went up 9-5 with two of the three goals being man-up.
- BSC outscored Transy 3-2 in the fourth quarter but could not come back and tie or take the lead as the Panthers fell 10-8.
