SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Birmingham-Southern baseball team capped off the weekend with a big 15-4 win over The University of the South. The win caps off a three-win weekend for the Panthers.
Birmingham-Southern improved to 13-1 overall and 3-0 in conference play while The University of the South fell to 7-4-1 and 0-3 in conference play.
Josh Leerssen improved to 3-0 on the season after pitching 5.1 innings allowing four runs on six hits and striking out nine. This is the third consecutive game that Leerssen has struck out nine or moere batters.
Luke Jones pitched the final 1.2 innings allowing no hits, no runs and striking out three.
Five Panthers would hit a home run in the win today.

Eli Steadman all hit home runs in the win over Sewanee. The Panthers collected 17 hits on the afternoon en route to their 11th consecutive victory and a 3-0 start in the SAA.
