BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Birmingham-Southern women's lacrosse team got their first conference win of the season in dominant fashion against Hendrix College on Saturday.
How it happened
- BSC got things started quickly with a goal from Sydney Riley inside the opening minute.
- Margot Peters added in a second goal for the Panthers, but Hendrix then cut the deficit to one with a goal.
- BSC then went on a huge 6-0 run to end the first quarter to take a commanding 8-1 lead.
- The second quarter was also dominated by BSC with six more goals and a shut out to take a 14-1 lead into the half.
- The Panthers continued controlling the game coming out of halftime by winning the third period 3-0.
- It wasn't until early in the fourth quarter Hendrix ended BSC's 15-0 run with a goal.
- The Panthers ultimately closed the game out with some great team play to take a commanding 18-3 win over the Warriors.
