PANTHERS WIN SERIES AFTER LATE-GAME COMEBACK

JACKSON, Miss. - After trailing by three runs, the Panthers battled back to win the series against Millsaps in extra innings.

For the second consecutive game, Millsaps caught fire early. This time, they took a 2-0 lead after one inning at the plate.

Ian Hancock got things started for the Panthers with an RBI single in the top of the third to get BSC on the board. However, Millsaps stretched their lead back to two after an RBI single in the bottom of the third.

There were no runs scored until Millsaps added on another run in the bottom of the sixth to make the score 4-1. BSC couldn't quite get the bats going and struggled to find any offense.

However, the Panthers fought back and had a huge bottom of the eighth. Back-to-back home runs tied the game for BSC with Jackson Webster going long to cut the deficit to 1, and Noah best tying the game after a deep shot to left center field. Neither team scored in the ninth inning which took the game to extras.

In the tenth inning, the Panthers wasted no time with Jack Fleming hitting an RBI single to take the lead. BSC then added an insurance run on a wild pitch to take a 6-4 lead heading into the bottom of the inning. Millsaps got a run back on an RBI single, but Connor Adams ultimately closed things out and helped the Panthers win the nail-bitter 6-5.
