LATE GOAL BY SOPHIE SMITH LIFTS BSC OVER LAGRANGE

Birmingham, AL. – The Birmingham-Southern women's soccer team beat LaGrange on a goal in the last two minutes on Wednesday night.

In the first half both sides created multiple chances on frame with Birmingham-Southern hitting the crossbar on one attempt by Sophie Smith.

'Southern got on the board first with a goal by Halle Morton in the 63rd minute. The assist came from Juliet Williams who had two assists on the night.

LaGrange struck back with a goal of their own in the 72nd minute. The goal was a screamer of a free kick that came from Kendyl Anderson.

Down the stretch 'Southern created many chances on goal, but Sophie Smith finally found the back of the net in the 88th minute. The assist came from Juliet Williams again.

Amazing scenes as the Panthers get their second win of the season, and this gives them some momentum heading into the away weekend in Louisiana and Texas.
