Birmingham, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern football team dropped a 38-3 contest against Trinity (TX).
Trinity's high powered offense was held to just seven points in the first quarter, but would go on to score another 17 before halftime. They took a 24-0 lead into halftime, which was too large for the panthers to overcome.
Matt McClary went 15-31 with 196 yards and no int's. He got sacked 0 times on the day, as the offensive line held strong.
Kobe Hughes added 42 yards on the ground.
Trinity outgained the Panthers 453-296 with 319 passing yards. Joey Keirnan found a game high of 5 solo, and 7 total tackles.
Birmingham-Southern kicker,
Ian Vachon, added a field goal in the 3rd quarter. This would be the only points of the quarter for both sides.
Trinity added two touchdowns in the 4th quarter to end the game at 38-3.
