GREENWOOD, In. - Football Academic All-District Teams were released by College Sports Communicators. Junior running back
Kobe Hughes, junior offensive lineman
Nick Paradise, and senior offensive lineman
Michael Gray were selected to the DIII team for the first time in their careers.
To be nominated for CSC Academic All-District, the student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA while playing 90% of the school's games or starting in at least 66% of the school's contests. Hughes, Paradise, and Gray were selected for their impressive performance on the field in addition to their outstanding work in the classroom.
Kobe Hughes appeared in all ten games and led the Panthers in rushing in 2023. His 146 carries for 647 yards and three touchdowns placed him third in the SAA on the ground. He also had 11 receptions for 118 yards in the screen game.
Nick Paradise started all ten games for 'Southern on the offensive line and helped the team to 120.9 rushing yards per game with eight rushing touchdowns. Paradise has been an important piece of the BSC offensive line in the past couple of seasons.
Michael Gray started every game on the offensive line for the third straight season. The fifth-year senior came back to bolster the offensive line on the Hilltop and was huge in protecting the quarterback's blindside at right tackle in 2023.
