PANTHERS WIN EIGHT EVENTS VS. MONTEVALLO AND BERRY

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern men's swimming & diving team finished second behind DII side Montevallo and above conference opposition Berry in preparation for the SAA meet in February. 

The Panthers won eight events on the day including sophomore Garrett George winning both the 1 meter and 3 meter diving events with scores of 314.77 and 329.33 respectively. Adam Jones set the tone early for BSC by finishing first in the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 10:21.83. Jones won his second event in the 400 yard IM with a 4:24.64 swim later in the day. Freshman Samuel Hardy then went on to win the 200 yard freestyle with a 1:48.35 swim before also placing first in the 500 yard freestyle later in the meet with a time of 4:59.65. In the 200 yard butterfly, another freshman phenom Logan Reinhold finished first with a 2:00.59 time. Zachary Cameron then repeated as the 50 yard freestyle winner with a 21.50 sprint.
