LaGRANGE, Ga. - The Birmingham-Southern volleyball team picked up two wins today in LaGrange, Ga., defeating Piedmont College, 3-2, and Berry College, 3-1. The Panthers move to 5-7 on the season.

Against Piedmont, freshman Shelby Moore led with 15 kills and six blocks, and freshman Chelsea Pittman was also in double digits with 11 kills. Junior Christine Denning recorded 30 assists, and senior Sarah Harris led with 20 digs, followed by junior Jennifer McKannan with 17 and sophomore Hope Harris with 16 digs.

In the second match against Berry, Pittman led with 14 kills, and Sarah Harris posted 13 kills and 17 digs for a double-double, her sixth of the season. McKannan also recorded 17 digs, and Denning led with 36 assists.

The Panthers travel to Memphis this weekend for the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference East/Central Divisional, taking on DePauw University and Sewanee, Friday, and Oglethorpe University and Hendrix College, Saturday.
