ATLANTA
—The 17th-ranked Emory University Eagles were too much for the Birmingham-Southern women's soccer team Friday evening as the Panthers lost, 3-0, on the road in Atlanta.

Emory out-shot BSC, 23-3, with the Panthers getting off only one shot on goal. Freshman goalkeeper Richelle Byrd made five saves in the match.

"We played one of the better teams in the country tonight," Head Coach Benji Walton said. "I was proud of the team's effort, but we just came up short. Hopefully we can get ourselves back on track for Sunday."

BSC is at home for the first time this season on Sunday, taking on Agnes Scott College at 6 p.m. at BSC Soccer Park.
