Women's Soccer shuts out Covenant, 1-0

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Courtesy of a goal scored by sophomore Bailey Kimbell in the 71st minute, the Bimingham-Southen women's soccer team defeated Covenant College, 1-0, Monday evening at BSC Soccer Park.

The Panthers move to 2-3-1 on the season, while the Scots fall to 1-5-1.

Kimbell led all players with five shots, three on-goal, and senior Alicia Plotky took four shots, two-on goal. Senior goalkeeper Amber Hernandez played all 90 minutes in the net and recorded two saves. Covenant keeper Hannah Bales made six saves.

BSC stays at home for its next match this Thursday at 7 p.m. against in-state rival Huntingdon.
