Men's Tennis defeats Berry, 7-2; Women lose 6-3

ROME, Ga.—The Birmingham-Southern tennis teams traveled to Rome, Ga., today to face Berry College, where the men won 7-2 but the women lost 6-3.

The Panther men now stand at 10-1 on the season, their only loss a 6-3 decision to Colby College on March 20 in Orlando. The women fall to 6-7.

The BSC men won at all six singles spots, while sophomore Lance Mengel and junior Sawyer Voges won at three doubles, 8-2.

For the women, juniors Hilary Brooks and Payton Gartman won at three doubles, 8-2, and both players also won their singles competitions. Brooks won 6-0, 6-0, and Gartman won 6-2, 6-4.

The Panther women travel to Montgomery this Thursday to face Huntingdon College in their next match, while the men are not back in action until April 14 when they face both Rhodes and Hendrix in Memphis.
