JACKSON, Miss. --  Birmingham-Southern won four singles matches to edge Southern Athletic Association member Millsaps College on Sunday at the Millsaps Tennis Complex.

The Panthers improved to 1-1 overall and are 1-0 in the SAA while The Majors' record now stands at 1-1 and 0-1 in conference. 

MIllsaps held a 2-1 lead going into the singles. Sara Cohen and Jessica KaKariuki defeated Ann Brachce and Katie Wroblewski, 8-3, for BSC's double point.

The Panthers won four singles matches to pull out the win. Cohen defeated Laura Kebert at No. 3 singles, 6-2, 6-4, and Lindsey Farrell won 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 at No. 4 singles. Terria Punturo won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 5 over Bianca Swarez and Kariuki defeated Wroblewski, 6-2, 6-2 at No. 6 singles.

BSC returns to the courts to host Campbellsville on Wed., March 6 at 3 p.m.
