BIRMINGHAM, Ala. –  Birmingham-Southern overcame an early 2-1 deficit to take a 5-4 win over Huntingdon College (5-1) Saturday at the BSC Tennis Complex.

The Hawks won two of three doubles matches to hold a 2-1 lead following doubles. Reanne Lamere and Moya Moore defeated Britni Thibodeau and Hannah Still, 8-4, at No. 2 for BSC's doubles point.

BSC won four of six singles matches, capturing wins at the No. 1, 2, 5, and 6 positions to pull out the victory. Moore defeated Katie Scott, 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1 and Reann Lameere won a 6-3, 6-2 decision at No. 2 over Thibodeau.  Lindsey Farrell won in straight sets over Arielle Barraca, 6-3, 6-1, and Terria Punturo won 7-5, 6-3 over Rory Wilson at No. 6.

Birmingham-Southern's match against William Carey scheduled for on Monday at 1 p.m. has been cancelled.
