Box Score BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women's volleyball team recorded its 10th sweep of the season in the Panthers 3-0 Southern Athletic Association road win over Rhodes College Saturday afternoon. The win marked the 100th career victory for Head Coach Jeff White. He now has a 100-49 record at Birmingham-Southern for a 0.671 winning percentage.
Rachel Lee (Montgomery, Ala./The Montgomery Academy) finished with a match and career-high 37 assists.
BSC improved to 14-3, 7-1 SAA with the win.
Jeneva Salter (Madison, Ala./Bob Jones HS) and Laura Van Peursem (Huntsville, Ala./The Randolph School) led the Panthers offensively with 16 and 13 kills, respectively.
Caroline Johnson (Lucas, Texas/Lovejoy HS) and Rebecca Erwin (Duluth, Ga./Duluth HS) paced the Panthers defense. Johnson finished with a match-high 19 digs. Erwin picked up 15 digs of her own, respectively.
Rhodes (8-9, 4-6 SAA) hit 0.130 as a team while BSC finished with a 0.316 hitting percentage.
The Panthers remain on the road this weekend. They take on Hendrix College Sunday, Oct. 9 at noon.
