BEREA, Ky. –  The Birmingham-Southern men's basketball team battled tough against Berea College Sunday night, but a steal and a three as time expired gave Berea the 82-79 win.

Matty Rudak (Augustów, Poland/Millbrook School) put up a game and career-high 20 points.

Three other Panthers picked up double-figure points. James McLean (Maitland, Fla./Winter Park HS) earned 14, while Ian Thom (Cold Spring, N.Y./Croton-Harmon HS) and Chris Graham (Dothan, Ala./Dothan HS) had 11 and 10 points, respectively.

The Panthers return home on Thursday, Dec. 15 to take on Guilford College.  Tipoff is set for 5 p.m.
