Women's Tennis defeats No. 40 Hamilton, 5-4

ORLANDO, Fla.—The Birmingham-Southern women's tennis team opened its Spring Break trip with a 5-4 win against No. 40 Hamilton on Sunday in Orlando, Fla.

The Panthers moved to 5-2, while the Continentals fell to 4-2.

BSC won two of three doubles points, with senior Sara Cohen and sophomore Carlee Petro winning in the first spot, 8-6, and freshmen McKenzie Courtney and Isabella Wisener winning at two doubles, 8-3.

Petro and Cohen won at one and two singles, and Courtney won at four singles to help clinch the win for the Panthers.

BSC plays twice tomorrow, facing Union College at 9 a.m. EDT and College of St. Scholastica at 4 p.m. EDT.
