Box Score BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern College women's soccer started the 2016 season off on a high note. The Panthers (1-0) took down Huntingdon College 1-0 on Preston Goldfarb Field Thursday night.
Sophomore Megan Moser (Mandeville, La./St. Scholastica Catholic HS) found junior Kayla Auger (Greensboro, N.C./Northern Guilford HS) for the first goal of the season in the 33rd minute.
Sophomore Katherine Kozera (Rome, Ga./Rome HS) earned the start in goal, splitting time with senior Ansley Tomlin (Franklin, Tenn./Battle Ground Academy). The pair combined for four saves.
BSC outshot Huntingdon 21-5 and earned five corners to the Hawks' one. Huntingdon is now 0-1 on the year.
The Panthers hit the road next. They face Belhaven University at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 3.
