MEMPHIS, Tenn. – With 3-1 wins over both Covenant and LeTourneau Saturday afternoon, the Birmingham-Southern women's volleyball team finished the Blues City Invitational undefeated and improved 6-1 overall.  Marjorie Ward (Winter Park, Fla./Winter Park HS) earned her third triple-double of the season in the win over LeTourneau.  She also had a double-double against Covenant.

Caroline Johnson (Lucas, Texas/Lovejoy HS) and Ashley Dodson (Tallahassee, Fla./Leon HS) earned double-doubles against LeTourneau.

Jeneva Salter (Madison, Ala./Bob Jones HS) led the team offensively on the day with 27 kills.  Dodson finished right behind her with 26 kills, respectively, and Rachel Lee (Montgomery, Ala./The Montgomery Academy) earned a team-high 54 assists.  Johnson also picked up a team-high 45 digs on the day.

The Panthers open their home season this coming Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 6 p.m. against Huntingdon College.
