Box Score BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women's soccer team struggled to find an offensive rhythm and dropped a non-conference tilt to Emory University, 4-0, Friday night on Preston Goldfarb Field.
The Panthers fell to 3-5 overall on the year while the Eagles evened their mark at 3-3.
Emory had 24 shots, eight on goal, while holding BSC to just one total shot. The Eagles led 2-0 at the half and doubled their score in the first six minutes of the second half.
Mary Caroline Newman (Germantown, Tenn./St. Mary's Episcopal HS) had the Panthers' lone shot of the night.
Birmingham-Southern opens conference play at home next Saturday, Sept. 24, hosting Hendrix at noon.
