Box Score 2 BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern College women's volleyball team split competition Saturday. The Panthers (3-1) swept St. Benedict 3-0 before falling to UW-Oshkosh 3-2. Marjorie Ward (Winter Park, Fla./Winter Park HS) earned her second triple double of the season against UW-Oshkosh with 20 digs, 19 assists, and 13 kills.
Ward was named to the All-Tournament Team for her performance over the weekend.
Jeneva Salter (Madison, Ala./Bob Jones HS) led the team with 25 kills on the day. Rylee Segrest (Anniston, Ala./The Donoho School) earned a team-high 45 assists and Caroline Johnson (Lucas, Texas/Lovejoy HS) picked up a team-best 51 digs.
Ashley Dodson (Tallahassee, Fla./Leon HS) earned another double-double in the win over St. Benedict. She finished with a team-high 11 kills and 12 digs. Ward also earned a double-double with 12 assists and 10 digs.
Salter and Ward shined offensively against UW-Oshkosh. The pair combined for 28 kills. Segrest earned a double-double with a team-high 26 assists and 16 digs. Johnson finished with a team-high 31 digs.
The Panthers are back in action Friday, Sept. 9 at the Blues City Invitational hosted by Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn. BSC will take on LaGrange College at 4 p.m.
