BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women's volleyball team improved to 7-1 in conference play Saturday with its 3-0 win over Southern Athletic Association rival Sewanee at home.  BSC (11-4) out blocked the Tigers 11-3 in the win.

Emmy Kilgore (Mountain Brook, Ala./Mountain Brook HS) finished with a team-high 10 kills.  Defensively, Melaina Hissam (Madison, Ala./Bob Jones HS) and Milea Ray (Alabaster, Ala./Pensacola State) led the back line with 15 and 14 digs, respectively.

BSC remains at home for a showdown with Centre College on Sunday, Oct. 8. Match time is set for noon in Bill Battle Coliseum.
