BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women's volleyball team swept Centre College 3-0 Sunday afternoon in Bill Battle Coliseum to improve to 12-4 overall, and 8-1 in Southern Athletic Association play. 

Milea Ray (Alabaster, Ala./Pensacola State) picked up another double-double.  She finished with 10 kills and 14 digs. Marjorie Ward (Winter Park, Fla./Winter Park HS) tied Ray with a team-high 10 kills, hitting .500 with no errors.

Melaina Hissam (Madison, Ala./Bob Jones HS) picked up a match-high 16 digs.  And Rachel Lee (Montgomery, Ala./The Montgomery Academy) earned a match-high 39 assists.

BSC hits the road next.  They travel to Georgia to take on Oglethorpe University Friday, Oct. 13 and then Berry College on Saturday, Oct. 14.
