Box Score DANVILLE, Ky. – The Birmingham-Southern College football team fell 42-17 at Centre College Saturday afternoon to close out the season. BSC finishes the year 3-7 overall, 2-5 against Southern Athletic Association opponents.
The Panthers special teams accounted for all 17 points. Ryder Andrews (Homewood, Ala./Homewood HS) finished with nine points after making 3-of-4 field goals. His longest on the day was from 40 yards out. Andrews also had three punts for a total of 100 yards, and averaged 46.6 yards per kickoff.
Jamal Watkins (Hampton, Ga./Dodge City CC) returned a punt 60 yards in the fourth quarter for a touchdown, and Zack Seay (DeFuniak Springs, Fla./Freeport HS) capped off the games scoring by rushing in the two-point conversion. Seay rushed for a game-high 86 yards.
Matthew Byers (Pelham, Ala./John Carroll Catholic HS) and Hunter McEntire (Newton, Ala./Houston Academy) led the defense. They finished with a team-high seven tackles each. All of Byers' were solo.
