Box Score MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A full team effort led the Birmingham-Southern men's basketball team to its second consecutive Southern Athletic Association championship game after the Panthers upset second seeded Centre College 77-71 Saturday night.
Evan Lewis (Birmingham, Ala./Ramsay HS) and James McLean (Maitland, Fla./Winter Park HS) finished with a team-high 14 points.
Matty Rudak (Augustów, Poland/Millbrook School) and Calvin Bak (Muscle Shoals, Ala./Muscle Shoals HS) earned 12 points each. And Harrison Deneka (Memphis, Tenn./Christian Brothers HS) rounded out the Panthers in double-figures with 10 points, respectively.
The Panthers will face top seeded Rhodes College in the championship Sunday afternoon. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m.
