BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – No. 5 Birmingham-Southern baseball shutout Rhodes College 1-0 and 10-0 in their Southern Athletic Association doubleheader Saturday on Striplin Field. BSC (22-5) improved to 10-1 in conference play to remain atop the standings.

Tyler Wise (Birmingham, Ala./Spain Park HS) led with a team-high three hits on the day with one run and three RBI.

Rich Misischia (Dothan, Ala./Regis HS) scored the game one winner in the bottom of the ninth.  He also earned the win after holding Rhodes hitless in the top of the ninth.  Stephen Himic (Birmingham, Ala./Indian Springs HS) earned the complete game shutout win in game two.

The series concludes on Sunday, April 2 in a single game.  First pitch is scheduled for noon.
